CANCER INTELLIGENCE SENIOR DIGITAL CONTENT EDITOR
Salary: £36,000 per annum
Reports to: Cancer Intelligence Manager
Department: Policy, Information & Communications
Location: Home-based or Stratford w/ high-flex (1 -2 days per week in the office). We are open to further discussions regarding flexibility and location for the successful candidate.
Employment type: Fixed-term contract to end January 2025
Working hours: 35 hours per week (Compressed Hours available)

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Cancer Intelligence Senior Digital Content Editor. We need you to project manage and deliver the maintenance and development of key online content hubs (Health Professionals, Cancer Stats) and associated web-related team functions. You will also lead on the collection, interpretation and use of intelligence (site metrics, user behaviour) to promote continuous improvement that is evidence-based and user driven.
Further to this, you'll play a key role in supporting the improvement of content and user experience across specified domains (e.g. Health Professionals, Cancer Stats, Policy), in line with departmental strategies and engagement priorities.
What will I be doing?
Working autonomously with relevant content generating teams to ensure user-driven, evidence-based optimisation of online content
Representing CI Web at relevant meetings across the Evidence and Implementation department and the wider Policy, Information and Communications directorate
Supporting relevant teams to understand their audience user behaviour through online analytics
Working with relevant teams to review, improve and optimise content and user experience
Managing the continuous improvement of Digital Content through the development and adoption of best practice guidelines and content management decision making tools
Provide quarterly reports for the Cancer Intelligence, Policy, and Health Professional teams using Google Analytics
Developing and managing CI Web team workplans
Managing the planning and delivery of business as usual activities and discrete projects
Acting as the CI web point of contact with relevant teams.
What skills are you looking for?
Significant experience of using content management systems to create, edit, maintain, and optimise content
Excellent attention to detail when creating, reviewing and editing web content; and when work planning, monitoring, and reporting
Experience in monitoring the use of web content through analytics software
Working knowledge of Google Analytics 4
Able to identify and solve problems in straightforward situations with minimal guidance
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise day-to-day tasks and meet urgent deadlines
Ability to manage own workload, with multiple priorities and concurrent projects)
Experience planning and coordinating projects from inception to delivery
Good communication skills with the ability to explain complex or technical information to non-technical colleagues, including guidance on technicalities of web management
Ability to confidently present information through presentations, verbal updates and reports.
Confident providing advice and guidance on technicalities of web management to colleagues
Confident in managing relationships and being a point of contact with other teams
