The Role
We are looking for a new team of Casual Car Park Engagement Assistants to help us manage the 44 Car Parks we manage across the Peak District National Park. The team will be based in the Corporate Property Team, and work closely with other members of the team.
In the role you will work across our Car Parks to help visitors use the Car Parks, and to monitor compliance with the Car Park Byelaws.
This will involve visiting Car Parks on each shift to patrol Car Parks and issue fines if vehicles are not complying with the Car Park Byelaws, check the Car Parks, machines and other visitor facilities, and to assist visitors to use the car park machines and answer visitor queries.
The role will work on a monthly rota, and shifts will be available including at weekends. The role will be outside and site based, using a vehicle to attend a number of Car Parks per shift, being outside and visible within the car park. The role is on a casual basis, and therefore there are no guaranteed hours. There is likely to be more shifts working weekends, Bank Holidays and during the summer.
About You
You will need to be able to communicate with a diverse range of people in a friendly, effective and helpful manner. You will be able to explain processes and procedures in a simple manner for people to understand.
You will have:
- Experience of lone working with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work outdoors and at weekends and bank holidays
- Practical maintenance skills and excellent customer service skills
- A full, valid driving licence
