Job description

We are looking for a Care and Welfare Administrator to join a nationwide society, targeting members 50+ years old, with the aim to help develop friendships, socialise, and have fun. Please see below for more details!

Location: Hybrid (Wednesday's WFH), Office in Hammersmith
Hours: 9am - 5pm
Duration: Permanent, with 3-month probation period
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000

About the role

The Care and Welfare Administrator role requires you to be the main point of contact for members regarding Care and Welfare matters, acting as a care coordinator and an administrator for the business. You will be reporting to the Secretary Administrator, working closely with the Social Events Manager as a small team of 3.

Key tasks and responsibilities

In the role of Care and Welfare Administrator, you will:

Respond to member queries and make and maintain regular contact with those who may require Care and Welfare support, by phone, letter, email, home visit or branch group/activity
Use active listening skills to support members and help them identify options to resolve problems and improve their health and wellbeing
Provide information and support to access help through organisation services and benefits or through external agencies
Assist with any other general administration where necessary

Able to deal with money
A proven ability to work to deadlines without supervision
Strong organisational skills
Some customer care knowledge
Resourceful and able to overcome challenges
Willing to work with a range of people with different backgrounds and social circumstances.
Able to comfortably work independently, as there will be times you will be the only person in the office
This role will require an Enhanced DBS check. We will be happy to discuss paying for this for successful candidates.
