The Home
This post is a regional post which requires you to travel around different Healthcare Ireland homes within a region. This may include dementia, nursing, learning disability and mental health homes.
The Role
To provide high-quality person-centred care to the residents of the home, supporting with their everyday needs and contributing to their enjoyment of life.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist qualified staff with care plans, tasks and activities to support the wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents
- Participate in activities, motivating and supporting residents to get involved
- Assist residents with eating, drinking, washing, dressing and going to the toilet
- Assess and observe the emotional and physical wellbeing of residents, recognising changes and reporting as necessary in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records, communicating effectively with residents and their families
- Provide care in a safe environment through participation in learning and development programmes.
You will need:
- Must be able to travel: driving licence and access to vehicle required (essential)
- 2 years care experience
- A good standard of written and oral English
- The Right to Work in the UK
- Be NISCC registered or eligible to register
