Are you a passionate, dedicated Care Officer looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Care Officer to join the Children & Young Persons Services based in Merton

Umbrella rate- GBP20-GBP25 per hour

Temporary Role- 3 months Initially

Monday Friday (term time) 2:30pm 8:30pm

Monday Friday(school holidays) 9:30am 3:30pm

The role:

• Working in a respite centre to meet the recreational needs of children with disabilities who are provided with short breaks.
• Carry out ongoing assessment to ensure service users needs are being met fully and produce and maintain reports.
• To ensure a safe and stimulating environment
• Working as a team to exceed expectations of legislation set out.
• Administering medication safely in accordance with a care plan.
• Follow placement plan in order to ensure service users receive personalised engagement in accordance to their needs.
• Ensure the service users personal needs are met, including dietary and hygiene.
• Share responsibility of making and serving snacks.
• Maintain a tidy environment.

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar role or with children with disabilities in a child care/short breaks setting
• Hold a relevant qualification at atleast a level 3
• DBS on the Update service
