Main Responsibilities

About our role

We are looking for a Care Systems Development Officer to join our motivated, forward-thinking established Care Systems Team who provide business advice, guidance, and technical support of our current and future social Care Systems to adults and children’s services managers, their teams, and partner agencies who deliver Social Care services to vulnerable people across Staffordshire.

The role will support or lead the delivery of change and design projects aimed to embrace digital advancements in our technology alongside essential projects to ensure systems remain responsive during a period of innovation.

The broad scope of the role requires a results-focused approach, supported by well-developed business analytical skills, technical experience, and project management skills. The collaborative nature of the work requires excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills. The team is highly regarded and has a wealth of knowledge and a wide range of experience, we are looking for an inspirational self-starter with a drive to succeed, who demonstrates a positive ‘can do’ attitude.

 

The Ideal Candidate

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Demonstrable experience in implementing digital improvements in a social care environment.
  • Significant knowledge of social care and experience in managing change both within a technical framework and at an organisational/people management level.
  • Creditable experience of effectively and quickly building relationships with a variety of stakeholders across internal and external teams including IT suppliers to understand, influence, and capture user needs and to develop new ways of doing things.
  • The adaptability to manage a wide scope of technical work, working at pace and flexibility within an evolving, iterative programme of work.
  • Evidence where you have helped business areas assess and understand their problems and helped them successfully improve.
  • Experience in challenging the status quo, working in collaboration with partners, driving improvement activity across a business area or organisation, and using your influencing and negotiating skills to achieve agreed outcomes.
