Duties:
- Provide direct person-centred support to young people aged between 16-25 years old with complex needs in a supported accommodation.
- Should be responsive to practical and emotional needs and act as an appropriate role model.
- Will work closely with the young people to effectively support management and staff teams to support them in line with their placement plans to develop their social and independent living skills.
- Enable young people to have control over all aspects of their daily lives and ensure they are supported to develop their abilities in line with their Pathway Plans and risk assessment.
- Record accurate reports for reviews and keep written records for monitoring purposes.
- Required to work with the broader team to ensure residents can express their rights, choices and aspirations whilst ensuring the highest standard of care is maintained in accordance with True Supported Living.
Skills, experience and qualifications required:
- Relevant experience in similar roles.
- The ability to support young people and showcase integrity in stressful times.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills.
- High level of patience and active listening skills.
- Great at problem-solving and have a sense of compassion towards young individuals.
Working hour: 39 working per week.
