Introduction to YSJ university London The London Campus opened in 2019 and offers a range of Postgraduate Taught programmes and Apprenticeships in the disciplines of Business and Technology. We have 700 Master’s students and Apprentices and are set to grow further over the next few years to 1000 learners. The campus is situated in a self-contained, five storeys building right in the heart of central London with a contemporary and innovative environment for all our stakeholders to enjoy. The role sits within the Professional Services job family and the role holder is expected to be an active part of the University’s support staff family, working with academic colleagues in London and York to help deliver its academic mission. The Team You will work in the London campus and play a key role in supporting the campus employability strategy and driving continuous improvement to our student’s graduate outcomes The role Supporting primarily through one-to-one appointments and embedded employability sessions and workshops, your role will see you working with predominately international master level 7 students, supporting their careers journey in a modern satellite campus environment. Further tasks involve: Providing 1-to-1 career advice appointments to post graduate (level 7) students, offering support for internships, placements, graduate roles and general career guidance and coaching. Supporting and assisting in delivering our embedded careers and development modules to all PG students. Supporting and delivering employability workshops, webinars, events and activities. Developing external networks and partnerships alongside colleagues in other areas of the student opportunities team in order to promote the services available within the London Campus. Recording and managing all student interactions using the university system Handshake. Required skills and experience The post holder should hold either a Degree or an equivalent qualification. The successful candidate will have experience of working in a student careers-related field at undergraduate or post graduate level.
