Based at Riverside House this role will support the Council’s statutory duties in relation to Adult Social Care, ensuring that the principles of ‘Prevent, Reduce & Delay’ are always applied including a focus on strength-based approaches to assessment and support.
The post holder will provide information, advice, guidance and manage a caseload of activity in accordance with the role, undertaking carers assessments, support plans, contributing to safeguarding and best interest decisions.
The Carers Link Officer will be able to work effectively as part of a team, along with a range of agencies and professionals, using appropriate interventions, values and knowledge base to work with adults and their carers to achieve the best possible outcomes. The post holder will be an advocate for carers through strong connections with the voluntary and community sector.

Until 31st March 2026 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a monthly deduction from each pay period over the full financial year. In recognition of implementing this temporary measure, those who experience a pay reduction will be awarded three additional days leave (pro rata for part-time).
