Amazon’s Supply Chain Managers play a central role in our global business. They keep our complex, international supply chains working seamlessly and efficiently. As a Supply Chain Manager (SCM), you will work closely with multiple stakeholders across Amazon, from Operational teams who are fulfilling customer orders to Retail teams and everything in between. You’ll help us optimize our supply chains to make our customer experience even better and our business more energy and cost efficient.
Key job responsibilities
We are looking for a Carrier Sourcing Specialist to join our team! As an integral part of the Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) team, the Carrier Sourcing Specialist drives carrier development for a specific geographical market. The successful candidate focuses on developing carriers to drive reliability and process compliance with Amazon, whilst ensuring competitive capacity is available within their region.
The ATS team works with Amazon’s FCs, Sort Centers, Delivery Stations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Retail, Finance and externally with service providers, offering business and logistics expertise to ensure optimal delivery of service solutions.
To be successful in this role, you need a passion for making data driven decisions which will have direct impact on customer experience. Some keys to your success are the ability to be an effective communicator to various audiences. The ability to remain flexible and adapt to learning new tools and systems is instrumental in your role on the team. Our environment is ambiguous, deadline driven, fast paced, and requires you to be detail-oriented and comfortable interacting and working with multiple teams (business and technical).
Responsibilities:
- Maintain high operational standard with new carriers on safety, performance, process compliance.
- Continuous Improvement Management with carriers, development of SOPs.
- Identify gaps in capacity and build/execute action plan to increase capacity.
- Be innovative and support new features/ideas development with tech teams on ATS platform to improve carrier experience or process improvement.
- Support market research to source new opportunities where the existing operation is insufficient/poor performing.
- Leading projects, ensuring Amazon requirements are communicated & executed by Line Haul carriers in line with program requirements.
- Continuous Improvement Management with carriers, development of SOPs.
- Identify gaps in carrier liquidity and build/execute action plan to increase capacity.
- Work across the EU in a cross-functional environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in program or project management
- Experience in supply chain

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Knowledge of SQL
