Main duties:
- Organise surgeries and meetings and follow up as appropriate
- Draft responses to constituents on policy issues
- Gather relevant information to assist with resolving cases
- Log all cases; monitor progress and ensure all identified actions are taken
- Retain records and information confidentially and in line with the Data Protection Act and GDPR
- There may be a requirement for the role holder to work outside of the normal working hours and travel for work occasionally
Essential criteria:
- Ability to manage own workload, prioritise and work flexibly under pressure as part of a small team.
- Excellent IT, administrative and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of the key issues concerning people in Putney and an understanding of the local area.
- Interest in campaigning on local issues for change.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience of dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information.
- Understanding of and sympathy with the aims and goals of the Labour Party.
Desirable criteria:
- Experience of working in parliament, local government or charities sectors with experience of managing casework
- Familiarity with Caseworker.mp software
- Good knowledge of Fleur’s key local campaigns
- Knowledge and understanding of the constituency of Putney, Roehampton, Southfields and Wandsworth Town.
