Casual Caretaker

Hours: Casual, as agreed with the school
Salary: Hay 12 (£11.98 per hour)
The Crossways schools are looking for a Casual Caretaker as part of the Site Team working under the supervision of the main caretaker. This would be a casual role to step up when one of the caretakers is absent and also to help with maintenance projects on the site alongside the main caretaker in the school holidays.
The duties include general caretaking, school opening and closing and regular tasks such as stocking up toilet consumables, maintenance, heating and health & safety of the school premises with some grounds maintenance required. You should be able to demonstrate a flexible approach to duties, the ability to work with a wide range of people and be willing to support the activities of the school.
The person appointed will need to:
• Take a pride in their work
• Be able to use their initiative and prioritise
• Be able to carry out everyday DIY to a good standard
• Be aware of health and safety issues
