AddressThe ICC and Vox Conference Centres are looking for highly motivated and dedicated Conference Technicians to provide support to Events within the NEC Group Conventions. The Casual Technician is one of the core personnel for the Technical department across convention venues.
As a casual Technician you will be required to deliver a world class service given the information provided to our events and clients experience. You will have experience in a theatrical or live event technical role, with a good understanding of Video, Lighting and Sound equipment and service delivery.
Health and Safety plays a massive part in the role and knowledge of safe working practices is required.
Although this post is predominately based at the ICC and Vox (Resorts World), you may be required to travel to other NEC Group venues to support events.
Role responsibilities will include but not limited to;
Liaising directly with speakers, presenters, and clients to ensure their needs are met.
Rigging and operating basic conference technical equipment.
Responsibility for the Health and Safety of the area you are working.
Knowledge of PowerPoint and other presentation software.
Building temporary staging structures and laying dancefloors.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge and Experience of Projection and Presentation systems
- Basic Audio knowledge and ability to mix live sound
- Basic Lighting knowledge
- Must display a positive and proactive attitude towards work and colleagues.
- Computer literate with good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
- Confident, articulate, communicator possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic and attention to quality and detail
- Ability to juggle multiple projects through highly effective organisational skills
- Ability to make sound decisions quickly and efficiently
- Creative thinking – with respect to problem solving and utilisation of resources
- A good basic level of numeracy and literacy.
- Ability to operate mobile access equipment.
