Dinton Activity Centre, near Reading, Berkshire, is seeking to recruit passionate individuals who have lots of energy to bring to the team. Candidates should hold their BC (Paddle UK) Paddlesports/SUP Instructor Award (or equivalent), RYA Dinghy Instructor, Climbing Wall Instructor (previously CWA), Archery GB instructor or British Fencing Core Coach award.
Dinton Activity Centre is a thriving local authority centre entering its eleventh year of operation. The centre handles a footfall of around 20,000 people per year, so the place is very much alive during peak season. We have a fleet of 30 sailing boats and 90 canoes, kayaks and paddle boards. On land we have a low ropes course, bush craft, a rock climbing and high ropes facility, two orienteering courses and a mobile climbing tower.
As an Instructor, you will support the delivery of activities such as taster sessions, school/youth group events, corporate days, school holiday activities and BC/RYA/NICAS courses. You will work alongside Lead and Senior Instructors to deliver a diverse activity and education program. Other responsibilities may include assisting with boat hire, offsite events, centre maintenance, and general administration / reception cover duties where necessary. Though your work we will provide opportunities for you to accelerate your personal development, providing you with knowledge and training to grow into a fully qualified and experienced instructor.
