Casual Patient Care Assistant required in Medicine and Emergency Departments.
The Queen Mother Hospital is currently looking for a casual worker to work as a Patient Care Assistant within our referral teaching hospital at the Hawkshead Campus.
We are looking for someone with animal care experience to work alongside a team of veterinary nurses and clinicians in a busy clinical environment, the position requires:
Provision of patient exercise, enrichment, dietary requirements, grooming, meticulous note keeping and promoting a stress-free hospital stay for the animals in our care.
Other daily tasks will include maintaining ward stock levels, hygiene, and cleaning; patient restraint, assisting with collection and processing of in-house laboratory samples, plus basic supervision, and clinical support to undergraduate veterinary students on rotation.
Hours for this post are: 07.00-15.00 or 08.00-16.00 (depending on rota), every other Saturday and Sunday (28 hours per month)
Previous experience in a veterinary hospital preferred.
