Our customer in Hunstanton is looking for a Land Train driver for the 2024 season, starting as soon as possible and running to the end of October. Initially they need someone 5 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday), but this is likely to increase at peak to 7 days a week so we’ll be looking at a job share between two or more people – it will also include Bank Holidays. There are various routes between Searles and the Old Hunstanton Lighthouse to be learned.
The job starts at 08.45 each day, one hour for lunch 13.00 till 14.00, finishing at 17.00.
Hourly rate negotiable (in the region of £14.00 p/h).
Job Description:
- Driving the Land Train in accordance with the specified route/s whilst adhering to the UK Highway Code and company policy
- General maintenance/refuelling and cleaning of the Land Train
- Completion of maintenance checklists as specified by the procedure
- Assist the conductor with collecting fares, issuing tickets and security of cash handling
- Completion of reconciliation sheet at the end of each day
- Securing the Land Train at the end of each day
- Ensure that all Health & Safety requirements are adhered to, and report any breaches
- Report any maintenance issues to Estate Director
Essential skills:
- Clean Cat.D driving licence plus CPC card including Cat.D entitlement
- Great communication and customer service skills
- Good teamwork – working with the Land Train conductor and a small team at base
