Category Demand Planner

Tate are recruiting for a skilled Category Demand Planner to join a company in Hemel Hempstead. As a Category Demand Planner, you will play a crucial role in managing demand planning activities to ensure the achievement of key performance indicators including in-full delivery, forecast accuracy, and stock optimisation. Additionally, you will collaborate with various teams across the supply chain to develop integrated supply operations planning processes and support value-added projects and business change initiatives.

Based in Hemel Hempstead, offering hybrid working and a salary up to £45,000.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage demand planning activities to achieve key performance indicators
• Support the development and management of the supply planning team
• Collaborate across supply chain teams to develop integrated planning processes
• Develop relationships with customers and suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain
• Continuously develop the supply function to support future targets and business plans
• Deputise and support the Category Supply Manager as needed
• Take ownership of forecasts and effectively manage products and suppliers
• Ensure a 99% service level from Distribution Centre to customers
• Liaise with Distribution Centres to optimise stock holding and order policies
• Manage transitions of substitutions, discontinued, and new products effectively

Experience Required:

• Supply chain operations and management/coaching experience
• Experience managing an operational end-to-end supply chain
• Industry experience in FMCG/Retail/Food environment
• Process-driven with evidence of change management and continual improvement
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Access, and Demand & Supply Planning systems (e.g., Manugistics, SAP, JDA, Oracle)
