You will be working for one of the UK's leading integrated facilities management providers. This global business employees well over 30,000 full-time staff and services a broad range of public and private sector clients right across the country.
Your new role
You will be working within the Strategic Sourcing division of this business\'s UK procurement team. You will work as a Category Lead, responsible for a range of indirect categories, with a focus on hard and soft FM services. You will be responsible for defining and shaping long-term category strategies for a variety of goods and services, with responsibility for roughly £50m p/a. You will frequently visit client and supplier sites in order to facilitate a range of different good and services while also developing your technical knowledge. You will be continually developing and nurturing internal and external relationships to make sure that the business can meet fast-changing client demands. This role will require nationwide travel.
What you\'ll need to succeed
You will need to have prior experience working for an FM provider. Knowledge and first-hand experience of how an IFM runs is crucial to allowing the successful candidate to hit the ground running in this role. Excellent communication and relationship building skills are critical to the success of this role. You should be a driven and independent self-starter who can effectively and proactively manage your own time and workload. A full, clean UK driving licence is also a requirement for this role. A relevant degree in business or finance or a CIPS qualification would also be highly beneficial. However, it is not a requirement for this role.
