We are seeking a Procurement Category Manager to join our agile and forward-thinking healthcare company. This role offers a clear path to progression and the opportunity to develop invaluable skills and expertise in procurement.
Day to Day of the role:
Take ownership of the end-to-end sourcing process, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
Manage and maintain data quality in our purchasing system.
Investigate and resolve invoicing queries and any P2P process issues.
Develop and maintain professional working relationships with suppliers.
Engage in negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
Provide support to system users and resolve system configuration or operational processing issues.
Develop and administer electronic catalogues for use in the system.
Organise and deliver system user training, ensuring high-quality training provision.
Identify and implement best practices to optimise efficiencies in the procurement process.
Manage existing contracts and relationships with suppliers.
Develop and execute category strategies and supplier development plans.
Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement activities.
Manage supplier performance and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
IT/Commercial/Technical degree or equivalent.
Procurement/logistics qualification.
Experience in clinical/non-clinical sourcing or related fields is desirable.
Proficiency in procurement systems and IT.
High level of competency in Microsoft packages, especially Excel.
Strong analytical skills and sound judgement.
Excellent communication skills and customer-facing abilities.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Good procurement and contract management skills.
In-depth P2P systems and process experience.
