Category Manager (Clinical)

Garrett Green are working with a leading procurement team based in London to help them recruit a Senior Procurement Manager. This roles is permanent and will be joining a well established team. This role will mostly focus on Clinical categories. Main responsibilities:

• Managing relationships with internal stakeholders
• Responsibility for the strategic direction of procurement across the business
• Sourcing of indirect categories including clinical
• Manage, develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
• Developing a fully comprehensive category plan for your categories
• Managing risk, focusing on delivering cost reductions whilst ensuring that all goods and services are delivered in a timely fashion
• Manage negotiations will suppliers and ensure that all contracts are delivered in line with PCR2015
• Maintain data accuracy

Experience required:

• Ideally MCIPS, but the client can also consider candidates studying towards MCIPS
• Experience working in the public sector is essential as you will be expected to manage several OJEU tenders
• Full end to end tendering experience
• Sourcing indirect procurement categories
• Implementing change and managing complex risk
• Experience drafting and negotiating contractual terms
• Ability to develop and maintain stakeholder and supplier relationships
