Procurement Category Officer (x 2)
The Team is formed of five Categories; Facilities Management and Construction (Property); ICT; Fleet; Professional Services and Operations. 2 days Hybrid working is available.
As a post holder, you will either support the ICT category or the Operational Services category, and report directly to either the ICT or Operational Services Category Manager.
You will lead and provide support in developing and promoting an innovative approach to procurement and market analysis. You will provide data and supplier analysis and support new methods of service delivery to achieve, not only best value in procurement, but continuous improvement through effective contract management.
You will also support the Category Manager in designing and delivering local and national strategies to maximise collaboration opportunities across the sector.
Ideally you will have experience of Public Sector procurement and the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and be aware of the government’s new Find a Tender Service (FTS). You will be/or have the willingness to study to become (with full support), a Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or be working towards full CIPS membership.
