Catering Assistant

About the role

We are looking to appoint a Catering Assistant to work in our head office canteen to assist the existing team in the smooth running of the kitchen and the preparation and service of breakfast and lunch to our colleagues and visitors.

Role Responsibility

• Basic food preparation
• Serving customers in a polite, friendly and professional manner
• Ensuring the kitchen, service and dining areas are clean and tidy
• Cashiering as required
• Replenishing as required
• Stock tacking and ordering
• Adhering to basic food hygiene requirements at all times

You will need

• The ability to work as part of a team as well as using your own initiative
• Experience of or a keen interest in catering
• To be hardworking with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
• To be flexible as you will be required to work additional hours to cover holidays and other absences
• Excellent customer service skills
• To be presentable and professional in appearance
• To have an understanding of basic food hygiene and allergen awareness
