We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Catering Assistant to offer flexibility to the catering department. As a Catering Assistant you will support to provide high quality, cost effective and safe services to learners, staff and visitors.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will ideally have a passion for catering and an interest in creating nutritional and healthy meals. Previous catering experience is desirable and experience of working in education settings would be advantageous.
You will be supporting preparation and delivery of lunchtime daily menus. You will work as part of a team carrying out all duties as expected in a catering department to ensure high level of customer service. You will be undertaking high quality cleaning regimes and must adhere to procedures such as, health and safety, allergen control, food safety and stock control and rotation.
We are looking for someone who is flexible to meet the needs of our learners and the team. It would be desirable if you have Food Safety Level 2, or be willing to partake in the training required.
