SalaryOur client is currently recruiting for an experienced Catering Assistant based within Cardiff, CF11.
To work as part of the Catering Team to maintain a clean and food safe department. Provision of a Catering Service in a Hospital/Healthcare setting to ensure high quality service provision.
Available shifts / Locations below:
- Monday until Friday (5 days a week)-This is a full time position
- Postcode: CF11 9XB
- 07:00-18:30PM
- £12.82 including holiday pay, however you have option to accrue
- Paid Weekly, Every Friday before 5 PM.
Skills and experience required:
- Must have at least 2 years previous experience
- Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 desirable
- Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
- Able to manage time effectively
- Ability to work both alone and in a team
- Awareness of health and safety procedures
- COSHH
- Food Allergens Training desirable
- Experience of working within Hotel & Catering industry and/or Facilities Management sector
- DBS Certificate required
- Responsible for accepting food in line with department working instructions and using own initiative while complying with all food safety guidelines.
- Responsible for the allocation of patient food to the housekeepers supporting them in making sure they have enough food to complete the meal service.
- To work in a chilled area to allocate the patient food following the correct picking and packing process and adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Notifying management and administration on any discrepancies from receipt to distribution of catering supplies
