Catering Assistant – Hourly Paid

Salary: Hourly Paid, £12.93 per hour. Professional Services Band 3.
Contract Type: 37 weeks per year (Term-time only) Hourly Paid. Fixed term until 1st March 2025.
Location: Paignton, Devon
We are looking to recruit an Hourly Paid Catering Assistant who will operate the food service areas and provide kitchen assistance.
The key tasks will include:
- Preparing beverages (including Barista), snacks and other foods.
- Preparing & maintaining counter & sales area for service.
- Preparing & serving all food and beverages.
- Maintaining good customer/stakeholder relations.
- Filling vending machines.
- Ensuring fast, efficient, high quality service.
- Clearing tables & washing up crockery, cutlery etc.
- Operating tills including cashless sales accurately.
- Ensuring that working areas are kept clean & tidy.
- To ensure implementation of the quality systems within the section.
- To implement and maintain health and safety requirements.
- To implement and maintain equal opportunities and diversity policy.
- Any other duties from time to time that may be necessary commensurate with the grading of this post.
The successful candidate will be trained in food hygiene and handling, with experience in food preparation and service in a busy and fast-paced environment. You will have good literacy and numeracy skills, with experience in cash handling. You will have the ability to deliver excellent customer service in a busy and varied environment.
