About the role

We are looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to join our team at Ysgol Myfenydd, Llanrhystud on a permanent part time basis.

The role includes:

  • general kitchen duties including washing up of equipment and utensils and the cleaning of all areas and surrounds
  • maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen at all times
  • ensuring observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards

On a day-to-day basis you will:

  • general kitchen duties including washing up of equipment and utensils and the cleaning of all areas and surrounds
  • setting up the tables and clearing as required
  • recording the temperature of food
  • ensuring observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards
  • ensuring EEC standards on Manual Handling
  • general Health and Safety of kitchen including hazardous equipment

  • experience/knowledge of working within a catering environment
