The State Hospital, provides maximum secure psychiatric care for patients from Scotland and Northern Ireland. Our strategy is to ensure equitable provision of high quality, clinically effective services to meet the mental health and social care needs of all patients.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Facilities Department for a Catering Manager. The key priority of this post is to develop strategies that will assist operational staff to provide a highly professional, customer focused Catering Service which meets the needs of patients and staff, fully supporting the delivery of clinical care and ensuring compliance with the relevant NHS Quality Improvement Scotland Standards.
You will be the professional lead for Catering and manage the Catering Department, ensuring that all aspects of preparation, cooking of food, service, wash up and cleaning duties related to the provision of a high quality catering service to Patient, Staff, Visitors and Functions.
A flexible approach to work is necessary as variations to the standard working week may be required in order to meet the needs of the service
Experience - You will have completed an HND in Hospitality Management or equivalent qualification and have significant senior management experience within Catering Services.
