Internal Catering Manager 30k-35k
Our client based in the heart of Wakefield has asked me to recruit a new position for them to head the new catering unit within their premises.
As an integral part of their team, the Catering Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of all catering operations. If you have a passion for food, excellent organizational skills, and thrive in a dynamic environment, we’d love to hear from you!
This is a start up role so I do need someone who has experience of looking at what is in place at the moment and can plan accordingly to build a successful & cost-effective catering unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Menu Planning: Collaborate with chefs/cooks and event planners to create diverse and appealing menus for various occasions, including business presentations, weddings, and festivals.
- Staff Supervision: Lead and motivate kitchen staff, including kitchen assistants, chefs, and servers. Ensure food quality meets client expectations.
- Training and Recruitment: Train team members on menus, serving procedures, safety standards, and new cooking equipment. Recruit qualified staff to maintain high-quality service.
- Budget Management: Prepare and implement budgets for catering operations, considering menu costs, dietary needs, and available resources.
I am looking for an experienced Catering Manager with the following skills & experience:
- Experience: Previous experience in catering or hospitality management.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
- Creativity: Develop innovative menus and adapt to diverse client preferences.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills.
- Budgeting: Familiarity with budget planning and cost control.
