This is a new part time role for a Certified Mortgage Advisor to work for a mutual financial services provider based in Dorset and offered as remote working, however, note that the hours are Saturday 9 to 1 / Monday to Friday 1pm to 8pm (3/4 Days between Monday & Friday) to work 28 hours including Saturday morning over the week - flexible to be agreed.The client is looking to increase direct advising and whist this is a remote role you will be required to visit the office monthly.
You will be providing to customers a full advice and recommendation service for mortgages in accordance with the of service, regulatory and compliance requirements whilst maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities of the Mortgage Advisor
- Identify and advise on customer needs for Mortgages.
- Identify savings, protection and home insurance needs, offered by the Society or its affiliated providers, as required.
- Achieve minimum sales targets, no mandated lending authority
- Deliver satisfactory compliance and quality measure and deliver good customer outcomes
- Receive incoming calls to deal with all leads, internet communications from the general public or existing customers enquiring about mortgages and other business opportunities
- Actively manage and track enquiries received with a view to securing or retaining mortgage business
- Using effective questioning skills to establish customer needs, recommend the mortgage products and service to customers for whom they are suitable as part of a full advice and recommendation service delivered over the telephone and, when required, face-to-face.
- Be the customer's primary contact throughout the mortgage application process up to the point of mortgage completion.
- Attending events to promote the Society's products and services, as necessary.
Requirements of the Mortgage Advisor role
- Understand what Consumer Duty (CD) and embed this fully within your work.
- Competent Advisor Status
- Participate in the weekly shift rota as directed within contracted hours
- CeMap or equivalent qualification
- Mortgage Sales/Advice experience within the Financial Services Sector
- Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage products
