Job purpose:

Communications and Government Affairs (CGA) is on the cusp of a transformative shift and has the opportunity to drive in a new era of working and thinking. In this ever-evolving landscape, Generative AI (GenAI) is emerging as a game-changing force which is as much about the technology as it is about the opportunities it opens. Through the creation of a GenAI lead, CGA can harness this shift with more focus and impact – to strengthen ways of working and data-driven processes, enhance content creation / delivery and better inform decision-making from ??? whilst deeply understanding the impact of our efforts. The CGA GenAI lead is the linchpin in our mission to harness the power of Generative AI within our dynamic business environment. This role is designed to ensure our GenAI initiatives are always in tune with the overarching goals and priorities of our function, engaging with our teams and facilitating AI design projects that demonstrate clear business value. The ideal candidate will bring energy, enthusiasm and focus, as a GenAI activist, and ideally functional expertise in communications, as well as a strategic approach of product management. This role requires a candidate with a proven track record of working with leaders in large-scale organisations and steering high-impact projects to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with CGA teams to pinpoint business opportunities with significant impact and return on investment.
  • Serve as the dynamic face and voice of our GenAI projects, driving engagement and commitment across all levels.
  • Establish and run CGA Generative AI working group to mobilise innovative solution exploration and integration
  • Adopt a product management approach, ensuring GenAI applications are state-of-the-art, practical, and in line with our strategic goals.
  • Act as a bridge between technology, user experience, and business objectives to bring clarity and cohesion to our GenAI endeavours.
  • Encourage innovation, pushing the envelope in how we use GenAI to challenge the conventional and elevate our business practices.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to the evolving landscape of GenAI, maintaining our competitive edge and embracing new opportunities.
  • Act as a customer champion to ensure projects are sound, resonate deeply with users, and align with business needs

  • Prior involvement in cross-functional teams, demonstrating the ability to lead and inspire.
  • Experience in a communications role with an understanding of related technology applications.
  • Broad business experience in the pharma sector and confidence engaging with leaders and diverse stakeholders
  • Track record of successfully managing and delivering innovative projects.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a relatable manner.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering engagement and collaboration.
