Job description

Our client, an Air Ambulance Charity, saves lives in its communities, but they could help even more people. Why wouldn’t you want to be their next Chair of Trustees?

They are looking for an experienced Trustee who knows how excellent Boards work, how to get the very best out of great people, and how to help wonderful organisations become even better. They need someone who is a natural networker and people-person, who can understand complex information, and can ask key questions in a way that is as supportive as it is challenging. But most importantly, the new Chair will need to share this charity's Values – they pride ourselves on being Collaborative, Dedicated, Curious and Compassionate.

This charity doesn’t ask for a big time commitment as they have a professional management team who take full responsibility for the week-to-week running of the charity, but they do need someone who has the time and space to carry out this role well. So although the average might be a couple of hours a week, this can be really variable and you will need to be able to make time in the working day occasionally, with good notice.

The board tries to meet in person, as collaboration is better that way, and you will need to get out and about from time to time to meet key stakeholders or attend events. Due to this, and the need to understand the organisation's communities and help them reach more people, you will need to be local – they cover Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire, Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset and parts of Wiltshire.

Application deadline: 09:00 on Monday 8 July.

Please click 'Apply' and follow the job board process. You will receive an email from CHM Recruit containing further information on how to apply for the role.
Please note that although you may be asked by the job board to upload a CV, you are not applying at this stage.

This organisation is keen to represent the diversity of the people we serve, and welcome applications from communities who may be under-represented in their workforce or the type of roles they are recruiting for.

No agencies please.
