Why this job matters

The Service Management Practice are responsible for overseeing the delivery and operation of our services to our customer base across Mobile and IPTV.  The function is responsible for driving simplification of our operating model through process and tooling standardisation.

The Service Transition Professional, Change Enablement is responsible for the assessment of technical Change and Access requests across Mobile and IPTV, assessing the risks associated with the implementation of Change ensuring that requests are implemented in a controlled low risk manner, enabling the smooth and effective running of these networks and all customer facing services.
 

What you’ll be doing

•    Assess raised Change and Access requests to  determine whether the required information has been supplied – work with the request originator to get to the required standard. 
•    Ensure Change restrictions are managed and communicated effectively . 
•    Manage the Access-to-Work process ensuring access requests are processed within SLA and meet Health & Safety requirements.
•    Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of Change activities and best practices
•    Champion and police the Change & Access Management policies and processes, ensuring they are adopted and followed appropriately.
•    Use your analytical skills to identify areas of improvement  to ways of working and drive business improvements adding value to both our stakeholders and customers.
•    Be responsible for supporting or leading on transformational workstreams, initiatives and projects for the Service Operations function, to drive continual improvement
 

Skills and Experience


•    Expert within ITIL area, able to provide expertise around best practice
•    Must be able to engage, influence and ‘sell’ the function across all levels of BT
•    Skills to analyse, question and challenge the way things are done to optimise processes and deliver excellent outcomes for customers and the business.
•    Strong demonstrable communication skills.  Able to follow process but able to recognise and work through the need to adapt to a rapidly shifting technical environment
•    Skills to lead and support transformational change relating to the ITIL area
