Change Delivery Manager

Our Central Gov. client is seeking a new Change Delivery Manager, with the following experience;

• The role will need to lead change across a complex environment of specialist teams, platforms and software which deliver safety critical products. The post holder will be expected to maintain a broad understanding of the end-to-end processes involved in the environment, calling on subject matter experts when required to understand the more detailed processes.
• The post holder to interpret complex cartographic/data processes/principles/software in order to identify and manage risk, timeliness and quality of Change Delivery.
• Resource for change activity will likely be provided from a range of teams depending on the task required. The post holder will need to build effective working relationships quickly in order to deliver the required outputs.
• Multiple change activities will be taking place within the production flowline simultaneously. The post holder will need to identify potential conflicts and opportunities to align complimentary activities to ensure all change is delivered effectively.
• Many change activities will be critical to the organisation’s Strategic Plan, Business Plan and objectives as well as safety critical products monitored by governance processes which must be complied with. The post holder would be expected to ensure activities comply with this governance.
• Most change activities will have a broad range of stakeholders with varying requirements. The post holder will be expected to routinely communicate effectively to senior stakeholders such as the organisation’s Executive Leadership Team as well as subject matter experts enacting the change activity.
• The role will be expected to lead large/complex change activity whilst simultaneously supporting others tasked with smaller scale change activities. Stakeholder may not be familiar with change methodologies/techniques. The post holder will therefore need to be capable of identifying, using and coaching others to use the right approach/methodology for the problem/desired outcome.
• Post holders will need to report on, and therefore remain abreast of the progress of multiple change activities whilst leading large scale change.
• Post holders will be required to bring diverse stakeholders together to achieve effect results. This will require a good understanding of facilitation techniques.
• Divisions of ownership/authority over many of the processes, tools and resource within the Production Flowline is not always defined.
• Potential change activity within the Production Flowline is almost endless, and continually changing. Post holders will need to be able to continually prioritise and align activities to achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Resource available to support change activities is not consistent and may be reduced to deal with safety critical business-as-usual activity within the production flowline at short notice. Post holders will need to create and maintain flexible approaches to delivery.
