This role sits within the Technology Chapter and is supported by the Chapter Lead.

Salary range: £30,000, Grade B

Hours: 35 hrs

Location: Home-based

About the Technology Chapter

Expanding their digital capability is fundamental to how our client will achieve their objectives. They require technical and non-technical digital capabilities to extend their reach and impact. The Technology Chapter aims to be a centre of excellence for internal digital services that support them in achieving their strategic objectives.

Our client is looking for people who have:

- A good understanding of digital technology and how it can be used to improve the experience of customers and colleagues

- Specialisation in some aspect of digital or technology

- Understanding of user / customer experience, personas and user journeys and how these affect a user’s experience with digital

- Understanding of accessibility and how to build it into the digital experience

- Knowledge of and experience with digital product development

About the role

As a Chapter Member, you'll be in a Chapter of like-minded and skilled specialists, experts, and emerging experts. Chapters are self-organising, and every member has a vital role to play, sharing their skills, knowledge and experience and learning and developing together. Led by the Chapter Lead all Chapter Members will value and respect each other's contribution and learn and develop collaboratively.

With a specialism in training and Adoption for Microsoft 365 products and services, part of your time would be spent using your skills, knowledge and expertise to work in squads of between six to nine people on exciting and customer-focused product development. This involves following agile values and principles and working collaboratively with the product owner and colleagues to deliver on the strategic objectives and value for our client’s customers.

You'll be given direction on what needs to be achieved and the freedom to achieve it. You may be working on a few squads at any one time. Alongside this, there will be a degree of operational tasks which will be delivered in your chapter with support and directed from the Chapter Lead.

What might a day in the life look like?

- Deliver training courses to users on how to use Microsoft 365, Researching, developing and creating new training course offerings.

- Host drop-in clinics for new Microsoft 365 users to attend.

- Produce instructional documentation on Microsoft 365 functionality.

- Regular communication with user base on tips, tricks and best practices.

- Supporting the team with any enquiries, particularly related to the Microsoft courses. Creating content for use in internal marketing material, social media etc.

- Supported by the chapter lead you will work in your squads and on operational tasks as well as contributing to evolving ‘centre of excellence’ for your skill set.

- When working in squads you will work in harmony to build, test, and deliver products and services that create value for customers

- Maintaining a focus on the task in hand, developing features through working in sprints.

- Bring your knowledge, skills, and expertise to develop products incrementally.

- Communicating clearly with squad members and other stakeholders

- Reflecting on progress and performance - always looking to improve and keep momentum.

- Ensuring that customers can directly influence the features of a product and service

- Sharing wisdom, experience, and knowledge with others

Who are you?

- You have a good level of knowledge for the full range of Microsoft 365 user applications (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Viva etc.)  

- You are confident enough to lead training and workshops, with excellent presentation skills

- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills

1. Relevant Microsoft certification such as: “Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (Exam MS900)” “Microsoft certified trainer”. A

3. BSL Level 1 or above, a good level of hearing issue awareness and/or working towards BSL level 1 or above. Understanding and experience of hearing issues and British Sign Language skills or a willingness to learn. I, Q, T
