AddressRole: PSV Chargehand (Nights)
Salary: £55000
Hours: 6pm - 6am
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off
Location: Croydon
We have a vacancy for a PSV Chargehand (Nights) working within the Engineering team at Croydon.
About the Role:
- Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining the fleet
- Ensuring the quality of repairs
- Investigating and diagnosing mechanical and electronic faults
- Recording faults and repair details
- Making decisions on road calls
- Collaborating with the engineering team to minimise lost mileage
- Regularly updating the Service Manager on progress
- Potentially undertaking Service Manager responsibilities in their absence
- Working with health and safety protocols
The ideal candidate will have:
- An NVQ level 3 qualification for maintenance and repair of PSV or HGV (or an equivalent international qualification)
- OR at least five years’ experience in repairing and maintaining public service or heavy goods vehicles.
- An IRTEC is highly desirable or willingness to undergo the necessary training
- A PCV license
- A desire to progress their career further
