Charity Officer
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Charity Officer to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful delivery of our charity’s programs and initiatives. The Charity Officer will be responsible for fundraising, managing volunteers, and contributing to the overall strategy and mission of the organisation.

Day-to-day of the role:
 

  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to secure funding from various sources, including individuals, corporations, and grant-making bodies.
  • Organise and manage charity events and campaigns to raise awareness and funds.
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, supporters, and volunteers.
  • Coordinate with volunteers, providing them with guidance and support to maximise their contributions to the charity.
  • Work closely with other team members to develop and deliver community programs and services.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of projects and initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with charity law and regulations, maintaining accurate records and reporting as required.


Required Skills & Qualifications:
 

  • Experience working in the charity sector or a similar role.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of successful fundraising and event management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with office software and CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of charity law and governance is highly desirable.
  • A passion for making a positive impact in the community.
