Job description
No one likes uncertainty. And applying for a job is full of uncertainty.
How do I know what resources I will have? How do I know they'll deliver? How do I know what's in it for me?
Wouldn't it be nice to know that from reading an advert onwards?
And you can.
This business has succession planning on its mind. It has an outgoing planner and they're leaving behind a HNW client base with c£300,000 ongoing fees attached to it. You'll also have all the data (ages, business mix etc) you need to know what you're walking into.
You can put these ongoing fees against your target. So even on a £75,000 salary you'll be overachieving your target by retaining what you have. It means that all new business you do comes with bonus and at 30% that's some sizeable bonus. Add in 15% on ongoing and you're comfortably in to six figures.
So you know the fundamentals, what about the other side - the culture.
This is an acquisitive firm who are great at nurturing talent. True they need to hire someone who is well qualified but they're a firm believer that everyone can learn. And joining a firm that puts such emphasis on helping their planners be the best they can be is always a good idea.
They're also a firm that can help you with your ambitions. If you want to specialise they can help with that by targeting acquisitions and putting a workable strategy in place. They'll support you with admin and paraplanning, plus you'll have a dedicated manager. And the support team is front and centre when it comes to managing client relationships so you'll have as much time freed up as possible.
It's a salaried position of up to £75,000 with a generous bonus scheme.
There's flexible working and an ethos of encouraging a healthy work/life balance. And the feedback we get from planners who have interviewed and now work for them, is excellent.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Given the profile of the clients you'll be an experienced planner. You'll have strong technical skills and ideally you'll have progressed to Chartered status.
You'll have CAS and have the energy, confidence and ability to manage a sizeable, HNW client portfolio. Plus a strong track record and steady career history.
