We are currently looking for a Kitchen Assistant for our Wine Bar and Restaurant in Edinburgh,

We also host fantastic wine tastings for guests and groups, where we love to give people a real taste of Italy – a varied selection of wines for them to try along with the most mouth-watering platters, hosted by a trained team member or manager to give them the best experience imaginable, all led by the great personalities that represent each Veeno.

Job Description.

- Our core Business is built around the highest quality produce so you will be preparing / serving Cured Meats and Cheeses, Pizzas, Pasta, Hot dishes such as Lasagne, Bruschette and Salads to name a few

- Set up of the business & kitchen to company standards

- You will carry out Food Safety Checks throughout the day visually and by temperature keeping records / due diligence

- Preparation is key so you will need to prep for the day ahead and be planning the longer term

- Being a Brand, we have brand specs that must be followed

- We work on a ticket system so you will need to be able to manage multiple tickets at any given time ensuring that guests are served in a timely fashion

- We actively work with Deliveroo & others so you will have sporadic Take Away orders coming in that are time sensitive

- We have a very busy Webstore with our guests ordering Food as well as Wines

- We expect our Kitchen areas to be kept clean, safe and tidy. We are proud of our High Standards, so you will need to also.

In the longer term, we would like you to fully take control of the kitchen area, this will include placing all orders directly and being fully responsible for achieving stock KPI's

Prior kitchen experience is a MUST however experience working with Deli style Meats, Cheeses and service of would be a distinct advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Salary: £12.00-£13.00 per hour
