The role will work within a team producing a highstandard of food production for the patient, staff and visitors ofthe Unit, which meets with all current Hygiene and Health &Safety legislation.
Yourresponsibilities willinclude:
- Food preparation, cooking and serving of meals topatients, staff and visitors of the clinic as laid down in agreedmenus using recognised recipes and methods. Always aiming toachieve the highest possible standard.
- Food ordering, maintaining required food stock levelsand keeping stockholding area hygienic, clear of any obstruction,presentable and tidy at all times.
- Ensuring food safety and departmental HACCP policy areadhered to at all times.
- Keep up to datewith departmental COSHH manual and PPE requirement for each foodpreparation and cleaning task.
- Freshly prepare, cook, and serve all dishes adheringstrictly to recipes agreed by the clinical teams anddieticians.
- Serve food inaccordance to the need of each individual young person ensuring anychanges are agreed/ requested beforeservice.
To be aSuccessful Chef you willneed:
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent incatering.
- Basic qualificationin food hygiene.
- Previous experiencein hospital environment is desirable
- Experienced in Culinary service, hospitality,restaurant, or large retail setting.
- Basic IT skills
