We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Chemical Process Operator for a temporary position at a prominent site in Grangemouth. As a dedicated recruitment agency, we are working to connect skilled professionals with rewarding opportunities.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining chemical manufacturing equipment to uphold the quality, efficiency, and safety standards of the manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring timely processing of products while meeting quality and cost objectives. Adherence to Health and Safety procedures is paramount.
Key Requirements:
" Previous experience in a Chemical Processing environment with knowledge of hazardous chemicals.
" Proficient understanding of critical processing steps and operating procedures.
" Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001 & 18001 systems.
" Experience in working under Risk Assessments and Permits To Work.
" Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate.
" Capability to deliver results in a high-pressure environment.
" Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
" Team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
" Physical fitness for routine lifting/carrying duties.
" Good organizational skills.
" Flexible approach to working hours and duties.
Qualifications:
" Good standard of GCSE English, Maths & Sciences.
" NVQ Level 2 in manufacturing or equivalent (desired but not essential).
" Computer literacy.
" Maintenance engineering skills.
" FLT Licence.
" JCB Telehandler licence preferred but not essential (training provided).
Additional Information:
" Ideal candidates should be local to the site.
" Shifts typically range from 6 am - 2 pm, 8 am - 4 pm, & 10 am - 6 pm.
" Standard workweek: 40 hours / week, totalling 2080 hours annually.
" Overtime may be required, and weekend work may be necessary.
