Chemistry Teacher

Step Teachers are currently seeking a Chemistry teacher in a brilliant secondary school within the Newton Abbot area. This role provides the chance to experience and new environments.

Pastoral care provision is very strong and we provide a safe learning environment in which pupils can thrive. By developing strong, positive and trusting relationships with pupils and their families it allows them to work in collaboration to ensure all pupils fulfil their potential and develop their talents. 

Role: 

• Strong Physical Education curriculum knowledge at KS3 & 4 PE

• Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with the safe use and storage of all equipment

• Direct and support any additional staff in the classroom where applicable

• Ability to assess and report on your students when required

• Able to plan and deliver engaging, ranging lessons

• Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Requirements:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in secondary school

• Bachelor's degree in related subject

• Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching PE at secondary school level.

• Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management

• A relevant PE or Sports related degree is desirable.

• Living within or commutable distance of Newton Abbot
