Linq Healthcare Recruitment Specialists are proud to be working with one of the UK's largest providers of independent healthcare, who are looking for an exceptional Registered Nurse who is SACT trained and experienced in Haematology and Oncology.
They're a friendly bunch and want to welcome you into the family. You just have to be a caring, enthusiastic (yet professional) Nurse, with experience in Oncology and Haematology, and trained in Chemotherapy.
You’ll be working alongside a small but skilled team, treating patients with a variety of haematological cancers and solid tumours, including lymphoma, myeloma, breast, gynaecological, Upper GI, Colorectal and prostate tumours.
With a much lower patient-to-nurse ratio than you would in the NHS, you’ll get to really focus on your patients' needs and wants, offering the best patient care you possibly can.
This is a Full Time role of 37.5 hours, Monday – Friday 9am-5pm, with no weekends or bank holidays!
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
Registered General Nurse with valid NMC pin
UKONS SACT passport (or equivalent)
A minimum of 6 months SACT administration experience
Proficient in phlebotomy, cannulation and accessing Central Venous Access Devices
Competent in UKONS triage
Duties of this role include:
Use clinical skills and an empathetic approach to meet each individual patient’s needs
Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care
Deliver high quality holistic care to our patients
Administer systemic anti-cancer therapy and supportive treatments
Assist with Holistic Needs Assessments
Complete UKONS triage and assessments
Provide care for acute oncological and haematological emergencies
Interact with practitioners from other departments
Educate patients in the management of their care
Assist with outpatient consultant clinics - offering you an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge within cancer care.
