Salary Job Opportunity: Social Worker - Children with Disabilities Team
Join Cheshire West CWD team at The Portal, Ellesmere Port, working to support disabled young people in a very supportive team, for a role offering a competitive hourly rate of £40.
Positions: 1 x 37 hours & 1 x 18.5 hours
Cheshire West seek an experienced Social Worker to provide statutory services for their vulnerable disabled youth. Be part of a dedicated team committed to improving lives.
Responsibilities:
Liaising/ Working close with partnership agencies to support the families and meet the children/ young peoples needs
Convening and chairing Core Group Meetings
Producing Initial Child Protection Conference reports
Initiating and implementing Child Protection Plans
Applying for and obtaining Emergency Protection Orders
Reviewing Financial payments received by kinship carers/ or carers granted Residence Orders/Special Guardianship Orders
Organising/managing packages of support
Organising/managing packages of care
Arranging short breaks
Providing Section 17 support to families and children in need
Attending court and giving evidence when required
Initiating Care Proceedings
Completion of Care Proceedings
Provide direct support and intervention to children with complex needs and disabilities, ensuring their well-being and promoting positive outcomes.
Contribute to the ongoing re-design of the service, utilising your experience and knowledge to shape effective interventions and practices.
Maintain high-quality case management, ensuring accurate records, assessments, and plans are in place.
Requirements:
Experience working with children with complex needs and disabilities is preferable
2 years post qualifying experience
SWE registered
