£109,000 to £126,000 per annum
Our ambition for Gloucestershire Constabulary is to be an outstanding police force for all our residents and communities. We are improving rapidly, working collectively to accelerate and sustain our progress. Excellent financial management and stewardship that makes the very best use of our resources is critical if we are to reach our potential. As Chief Finance Officer, this is your opportunity to embed a culture of financial excellence and accountability, contributing as a key member of our executive leadership team to the strategic direction of the force.
Reporting to our Director of People & Business Services and with a dotted line to the Chief Constable, your role is integral to keeping communities safe while maximising the value of the public pound. You will act as the Constabulary’s statutory Section 151 Officer, working closely with the Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner.
Our budgeted expenditure for 2024/25 exceeds £175 million; you will lead, inspire and develop your finance team so that the Constabulary’s leadership receives outstanding advice and support to develop strategies and services and optimally deploy scarce resources.
This is a role for an experienced, talented and qualified finance leader, with a track record of delivering outstanding financial management in a large public sector organisation. You will be able to evidence a contribution to the development and delivery of organisational strategy and bring the communication and relationship management skills necessary to succeed in a dynamic and complex stakeholder environment.
