At Cancer Research UK, we exist to beat cancer.

CRUK is the world's leading cancer research charity with a global reputation and track record of funding (£380m+ pa) ground-breaking research, policy and information activities through funding nearly 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses across several independent research centres and institutes and increasingly including international research collaborations. This work saves and enhances thousands of lives every year in the UK and millions more across the world.

CRUK has an ambitious long-term strategy and transformational 3-year plan which will see the charity improve its impact, engagement and income. We're looking for an experienced CFO to join our high performing team and keep our finances positioned for continued success. The CFO will be highly experienced, strategic and have the interest and skills to get involved with the detail when appropriate. You will have an impact on the finances and governance of the charity and will help set and grow our financial position.

You will be an experienced people leader who can motivate and engage people and build an impactful and inclusive team in line with our values during a period of change. You will play a critical role in maximising its impact on research and help shape the organisation's corporate, financial and income strategy. You would be expected to be a strong, independent voice who can business partner effectively and develop productive relationships across CRUK at Director, Executive and Trustee levels.

Our organisation values are designed to guide all that we do.

Bold: Act with ambition, courage and determination
