Job description

Stott and May are exclusively working with a prestigious media client and have been asked to identify a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to support their upcoming Cyber Security & Information Security Transformational plans, on an initial 6-month contract.
Type: Contract (Outside IR35)
Length: Initially 6 months (multiple extensions likely)
DayRate: Very competitive – Open to negotiation
Location: Just outside Berkshire (North of)
Hybrid Working: Yes however, this is NOT a remote working role. There will be often days in the office expected
The successful Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) will join an organisation with a fantastic name, that values innovation and is on the cusp of executing extensive transformational cyber security strategies.
We are needing an individual with a visionary outlook on Information Security. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the cyber security landscape, steering the company through a myriad of digital advancements while safeguarding its assets, reputation, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive cyber security policies and frameworks.
  • Oversee a robust risk management program, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information.
  • Champion the firm's cyber security vision, aligning with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Direct incident response planning and the investigation of security breaches.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and cyber security awareness across the organisation.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Proven leadership in Information Security at a senior level, ideally within the media sector or comparable industries.
  • A strong track record of developing and executing cyber security strategies.
  • Expertise in risk management, incident response, and compliance with Information Security standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A relevant professional certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or equivalent)
