The Deputy Chief Operating Office comprises a set of outcome-focused service pillars including Corporate Services, Chief Control Office, Digital Business Transformation Services, ServCo Management, Group Transactions Implementation, as well as regional oversight for Canada, Latin America and Middle East and North Africa. 

This fantastic opportunity would see you providing the Deputy Group Chief Operating Officer with dedicated, strategic and operational management support. This would form part of the execution, oversight, and coordination of key activities and processes across the Deputy Group COO (DCOO) function. This is a senior role with key visibility to major stakeholders within HSBC

In this role you will:

•    Manage the DCOO’s regulatory and legal responsibilities, to ensure all Senior Manager Regime requirements are fully met and evidenced
•    Support and act on behalf of the DCOO for day-to-day management activities and ensure appropriate risk and control and regulatory requirements are met
•    Partner with DCOO senior leadership teams to drive the performance and cultural change needed in a high- performance organisation. This will include engaging with and influencing senior executives across the Group
•    Provide strategic oversight and support of governance activities, to include management of the DCOO ExCo (papers / actions / updates); partner with governance teams from the business and functions across the bank as needed
•    Also have oversight of key administration services, to include responsibility external events, off-sites, and key international trips taken by the Deputy Group Chief Operating Officer

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

•    Comprehensive Senior executive-level relationship management, collaboration, and influencing skills
•    Proven ability to implement strategy, to ensure execution delivers tangible results
•    Knowledge of Digital Business Services – functionally, operationally, and financially
•    extensive ability to build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders and able to effectively manage the requirements of the role amidst a fast-paced Financial Services environment
•    Proven ability in financial/analytical reasoning and be able to contextualise financial data into business activities and conclusions

This role is based in London. and is a 6 month fixed term assignment
