About the Role

City of London Academies Trust (COLAT) is seeking to appoint an innovative and exceptional Chief Standards Officer (CSO) to start as soon as possible. This post offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic professional to join a growing multi-academy trust. The CSO plays a vital part in setting the strategic direction of the Trust, ensuring that our schools are consistently striving to embed high standards in everything they do and provide a world-class education to the young people we serve. The successful candidate will ensure a strategic and cohesive approach to academic and educational standards across the Trust and lead a highly effective Standards team, working directly with school leaders to set the highest standards and improve outcomes. You will lead the implementation of the Trust’s IMPACT programme, data scrutiny and develop Trust-wide strategies for establishing and maintaining the levels of excellence we expect in all our academies.

About You

We are looking for an exceptional leader in education who has experience of leading schools and successfully implementing strategies for improvement. The CSO will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial and Operating Officer, and other members of the Executive Team. They will attend and present at Trust Board and subcommittee meetings, producing high-quality reports, and will keep ahead of educational legislation and policy across the sector, providing robust long-term strategy and planning that ensures the CEO and Trustees are able to make informed decisions.
