Main Purpose of the Job:
Work closely with the Headteacher/SLT, to lead on the development of safeguarding, child protection and Mental Health and Wellbeing policies.
The post holder will:
- Provide training and oversee procedures for these key areas whilst also providing guidance for school staff on a day to day basis.
- Will manage staff accordingly in order and to receive and coordinate referrals, arranging action and reviewing services for children and families.
- Promote the inclusion of all pupils and will work closely with staff in school in identifying children and families who may benefit from support and work closely with them to help them to engage with the school context and the educational opportunities, including extended services, on offer at school and in the community.
- Create and sustain effective partnerships and excellent working relationships with pupils, parent/carers, the wider community and external agencies, ensuring collaborative working to improve outcomes for pupils at school.
