Job Description

A Local Authority in the London area is seeking a qualified Solicitor/ Barrister to join their Social Care & Education Team as a Childcare Advocate. The successful candidate will have good knowledge and experience of advocacy and will be responsible for attending up to 5 day case hearings at the London Family Courts on behalf of the SLLP.

Key Responsibilities

• Advocate for Social Care & Education Team dealing with Childcare hearing cases
• Attend up to 5 day case hearings at the London Family Courts
• Provide legal representation and advocacy for clients
• Prepare cases for hearings
• Provide legal advice and support to clients

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor, barrister or legal Executive
• Good knowledge and experience of advocacy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
